The Essentials! Key Points of This License
1. The Regular License gives you, as the buyer, a non-exclusive, global, ongoing license to use the digital product (Item) you've chosen. For specific details about how you can use the Item, refer to the rest of this license and the FAQs (which are part of this license).
2. You are licensed to create a single End Product for personal use or for one client (a "single application"), and this End Product can be distributed for free.
3. An End Product is either of the following, both requiring effort and customization:
(a) For templates, the End Product is a customized version of the Item.
Example: If the Item is a website theme, the End Product is a personalized website with your content.
(b) For other types of Items, an End Product is something that incorporates the Item alongside other elements, making it more extensive and unique.
Example: If the Item is a button graphic, the End Product is a website that includes it. Check the FAQs for further examples and details about the single application rule.
Go for it! Permissible Uses of the Item
4. You may create one End Product for a client and transfer it to them for any fee. The license will then transfer to the client.
5. You may make unlimited copies of the single End Product, as long as it is distributed for free.
6. You are allowed to modify or alter the Item, combine it with other work, and create derivative works from it. All resulting works are still subject to this license. These modifications must result in an End Product that complies with clause 3.
Example: You can license a flyer template, add your own photos, adjust the layout, and print it to promote an event.
Hold Up! Prohibited Uses of the Item
7. You cannot sell the End Product except to one client. (If you or your client plan to sell the End Product, you’ll need the Extended License.)
8. You cannot redistribute the Item as stock, in a tool or template, or with source files. This applies even if the Item is modified. You may not share the Item as-is or with minor changes, even for free.
Example: You cannot purchase an HTML template, convert it into a WordPress theme, and then sell or give it to multiple clients. Nor can you license an Item and make it downloadable on your website.
9. You cannot use the Item in applications that let end users customize a digital or physical product according to their needs, such as “on-demand,” “made-to-order,” or “build-it-yourself” tools. Each end product created by such an application requires a separate license.
Examples: Website builders, "create your own" slideshow apps, and e-card generators. You’ll need a license for each customer-created product, or you can contact our Help Center for guidance.
10. While you can delete unnecessary components from an Item to create a single End Product, you cannot extract and use any part of an Item independently.
Example: If you license a theme with icons, you can remove unwanted icons, but you cannot use an icon outside of the theme.
11. You must not allow an end user of the End Product to separate and use the Item independently.
12. You cannot use an Item in a logo, trademark, or service mark.
Looking for a logo? Check out the logos section, which has a separate license.
The Fine Print! Additional License Terms
13. For some Items, a component might be sourced from another party, meaning different license terms may apply. If so, the component will be identified on the Item’s page or in the download files, and those other terms will govern the component, while this license will cover the rest of the Item.
Example: A theme might include Creative Commons-licensed images. The CC license will apply to those images specifically, while this license applies to the rest of the theme.
14. For certain Items, a GNU General Public License (GPL) or other open-source license applies:
(a) Some Items may be partially subject to an open-source license, meaning a 'split license' applies, with the open-source license governing the specified components, and this license covering the rest of the Item. Split licensing applies to certain themes and plugins for WordPress and other open-source platforms.
(b) In some cases, an Item may be fully licensed under the GPL, with the entire Item governed by the GPL instead of this license. Such Items will be identified as GPL, with details included in the download files.
15. You may only use the Item for lawful purposes. If an Item includes a person's image, even with a model release, it cannot be used in ways that create a false identity, imply endorsement, or in a defamatory, obscene, or sensitive context.
16. Items containing digital versions of real products, trademarks, or other intellectual property may not be fully released for commercial use. You are responsible for securing any necessary clearance.
17. This license applies alongside Buy Me Wish’s Terms of Use. In case of conflict, this license will prevail where necessary.
18. This license may be terminated if you breach its terms. If that occurs, you must cease using and distributing the End Product until you remove the Item.
19. The author retains ownership of the Item but grants you a license on these terms. This license is between the Item author and you, with Buy Me Wish facilitating the transaction.

The Basics! Key Points of This License
1. The Extended License grants you, as the buyer, a non-exclusive, worldwide, ongoing license to use the chosen digital product (Item). Review the full license terms and FAQs for specific guidelines on how you may use the Item.
2. You are licensed to create a single End Product for yourself or for one client (a "single application"), and you are permitted to sell the End Product.
3. An End Product requires customization and can be:
(a) For template Items, the End Product is a personalized version of the Item.
Example: If the Item is a magazine template, the End Product would be the finished magazine.
(b) For other types of Items, the End Product is an original work that integrates the Item with other elements, creating a unique project.
Example: If the Item is a set of icons, the End Product could be a mobile app for sale. See the FAQs for more details on End Products and single application rules.
Let’s Go! Allowed Uses of the Item
4. You may create the End Product for a client and transfer the license to them along with the End Product.
5. You may sell and distribute unlimited copies of the single End Product.
6. You are allowed to alter or adapt the Item, combine it with other works, and create derivative works. The resulting work is subject to this license. All modifications must adhere to clause 3, ensuring the End Product is permissible.
Example: You may license a vector, customize it, and add elements to create an illustration for a book cover.
Hold Up! Restricted Uses of the Item
7. This is a “single application” license, not a “multi-use” license. You cannot use the Item to create more than one unique End Product.
8. You cannot redistribute the Item as stock, in a tool, or as part of a template, even if modified. Redistribution or resale of the Item, even in altered form, is prohibited.
Example: You cannot license vector files, modify them, and resell them as part of a clip-art collection.
9. You cannot use the Item in any “on-demand,” “made to order,” or “build it yourself” application, allowing end users to personalize a digital or physical product. A separate license is needed for each final product generated by such applications.
Examples: Website builders, “create your own” slideshow tools, and e-card makers. A new license is required for each product created by a customer.
10. While you may modify the Item by removing certain components for a single End Product, extracting and using individual elements on their own is prohibited.
Example: If you license a game starter kit, you may remove unwanted 3D models but cannot extract and use a model independently.
11. You must not allow the end user of the End Product to extract the Item and use it separately.
12. You cannot use the Item in a logo, trademark, or service mark.
Additional Details! Further License Terms
13. Some Items may contain elements sourced from other creators with different license terms, such as open-source or Creative Commons licenses. These components will be noted by the author, and their separate licenses will apply.
Example: A theme might contain images under a Creative Commons license, which applies only to those images, while this license covers the rest of the theme.
14. For certain Items, parts may be subject to a GNU General Public License (GPL) or another open-source license, even if created by the author. A ‘split license’ applies in these cases, with the open-source terms covering relevant parts and this license covering the rest.
Split licenses are common for WordPress themes and plugins. Details are provided in the Item’s download files.
15. The Item may only be used for lawful purposes. If it includes a person’s image, even with a model release, it cannot be used to create a false identity, imply endorsement, or associate the person with inappropriate content.
16. Items containing digital versions of real products, trademarks, or other IP are licensed for editorial use only. Ensure you obtain necessary permissions where applicable.
17. This license applies alongside Buy Me Wish’s Terms of Use. If there’s a conflict, this license will take precedence as needed.
18. This license can be revoked if violated. If that happens, you must cease using the End Product and remove the Item from it.
19. The author retains ownership of the Item but grants this license to you. This agreement is between the author and you; Buy Me Wish facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the license agreement.
